N as in
Nose
The nose is
the part of the human face that contains
the nostrils and organs of smell and forms the beginning of the respiratory
tract.
Your nose is
important to your health. It filters the
air you breathe, removing dust, germs, and irritants. It warms and moistens the air to keep your
lungs and tubes that lead to them from drying out. Your nose also contains the nerve cells that help your
sense of smell. When there is a problem
with your nose,
your whole body can suffer. For example,
the stuffy nose
of the common cold can make it hard for you to breathe, sleep, or get
comfortable.
Our sense
of smell is not as developed as in dogs but we can all recognize a good,
pleasant scent or something really stinky.
Of course there are experts, like the parfumier in France who can
distinguish between hundreds of different scents, as can a fine wine sommelier. Lately, like with all other allergies, people
can have problems and react to smells like perfume. This is a shame!
People have
different types of nose shapes that vary from crooked to a cute
romantic button nose. Some people have been blessed with a perfect nose
where others would do anything to
change their crooked or snout nose!
Here some
different nose
types:
Concave Nose/Turned
Up Nose
Straight Nose/Greek
Nose
Snub Nose/Small
Nose
Nubian Nose/Big
Nose
Flat Nose
These days,
very young girls, and sometimes even boys, have the desire to change their
appearance by getting a "nose job".
It's one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries performed on men and
women.
Like other
body parts, the nose
is a welcome place for piercings, little jewels, and even tattoos.
NIMBLE shows you that you can do little movements with
your nose
which can improve your whole face.
