L like Lips

L like lip

Lips are a visible body part at the mouth of humans and many animals. Lips are soft, movable, and serve as the opening for food intake and in the articulation of sound and speech.

Lips come in different shapes:

We know about full lips like Angelina Jolie has, wide like Julie Roberts , round lips like Rachael Bilson or thin lips like Gwyneth Paltrow.

Apparently they tell also the story about your personality.

People with full lips are self assured and have courage, the ones with wide lips are talented and successful, people with round lips like to flirt and are rebellious, people with thin lips are sensitive and intuitive.

Who ever came up with this had also some specific ideas about how to use make up to enhance the look dramatically. Ancient Mesopotamian women were possibly the first women to invent and wear lipstick. They crushed gemstones and used them to decorate their lips; Egyptians extracted red dye from algae.

Until this days we focus a lot on our lips, try to enhance them with injectables, lip plumers, even surgical interventions.

We see pierced lips- apparently there are 15 different kind of piercing of the lips,  the most popular is the Monroe-(the Monroe piercing is done on the upper lip on the person's left hand side slightly off center,- in case  you are interested to get it).The reasons for piercing  are varied. Some people pierce for religious or spiritual reasons, while others pierce for self-expression, for aesthetic value, for sexual pleasure, to conform to their culture or to rebel against it.

What ever  your personal reason is to enhance the appearance of your lips, do not forget that like all the other body parts, they age, so one thing you can do is to use NIMBLE exercises for the mouth to avoid  wrinkles around it and to keep the lips supple.
